Scientific Mobility

Supporting scientific mobility.

International research depends on the ability of scientists, scholars and research professionals to participate in conferences, collaborations, fieldwork, training and other forms of scientific exchange.

Evidence for scientific exchange

Tracking the mobility conditions affecting research.

VisaWatch works with scientific organizations and research institutions to strengthen the evidence available on the visa and mobility conditions affecting international research and scientific collaboration. This includes monitoring visa requirements, policy changes, processing arrangements and other developments relevant to researchers and research institutions.

Current collaboration

International Science Council

VisaWatch is collaborating with the International Science Council (ISC) on its initiative on the free movement of scientists, contributing visa-policy monitoring and mobility evidence to a wider effort to understand the conditions shaping international scientific exchange.

Through this and future collaborations, VisaWatch aims to build a stronger comparative evidence base for understanding scientific mobility across countries and over time.
